Prison Ministry Presents
justice dance performance project
North Madison Congregational Church will host a special worship service and community event featuring the Justice Dance Performance Project on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body. (Hebrews 13:3)
I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. (Matthews 25:36)

“JDPP is a critically acclaimed dance and multi-arts organization. It’s mission is to educate, inspire, and ignite awareness, bridging the boundaries of art and social justice to create a more equitable society in ways that spark individual growth and collective action.” The JDPP Ensemble, which will perform during the service, is a group of formerly incarcerated persons who tell their story through song, dance and poetry. This experience will be life-changing for all of us.

The Executive Director of Justice Dance Performance Project is Judy Dworin. Judy founded JDPP in 1989 and it has been a central focus of her life, developing performances and programming that remind us of our connection to each other, our communities, and the earth. As Executive Director, she oversees the entire organization’s activities and serves as the Artistic Director of the JDPP Ensemble.
Following the performance there will be a catered brunch and conversation with the performers. The brunch and performance are free, but good will offerings are welcome. Reservations required, please use the button or contact the church office, office@northmadisoncc.org, 203-421-3241, with your name and the number attending.
